How to Automate TradingView Alerts With TradersPost

If your strategy lives on TradingView, you can send its alerts to a broker automatically using TradersPost. It is how I run the Wave Rider strategy entries when I cannot be at the screen.

How it works

1. Your TradingView strategy or indicator fires an alert
2. The alert is sent by webhook to TradersPost
3. TradersPost reads the alert and turns it into an order
4. The order goes to your connected broker account

Nothing is copied from anyone else. It is your strategy, your alerts and your account.

What you need

1. A TradingView plan that supports webhook alerts (webhooks are not available on the free plan)
2. A TradersPost account
3. A broker or prop firm account that TradersPost supports. Check their current list, as supported platforms change.

Setting it up

1. Connect your broker in TradersPost. Start with a paper or simulated account.

2. Create a strategy in TradersPost. This gives you a unique webhook URL.

3. Create the alert in TradingView. Choose your strategy as the condition, paste the TradersPost webhook URL into the notifications section, and use the message format TradersPost provides.

4. Test on simulation. Let it run for several days and compare every order with what the chart showed.

Checks before going live

1. Contract size is correct
2. Stops and targets are being sent, not just entries
3. The session filter is set so you do not trade at times you did not intend
4. You know how to switch it off quickly

A word of caution

Automation removes emotion, but it also removes judgement. News events, fast markets and platform outages can all cause fills that differ from the chart. Always keep an eye on your account, especially in the first weeks.
